The Files app for Teams is being updated to provide an improved experience to locate your files across your chats, channels, meetings and OneDrive and SharePoint, including shared files.
- Home: Get back to your recently accessed files
- My files: Access your personal OneDrive files
- Shared: Find files shared with you and files you have shared across M365
- Downloads: Locate files downloaded from Teams on your computer
- Quick Access: Pin document libraries or channels files tab to access them quickly
It also include an easy filtering to quickly filter based on document type (Word, Excel, PowerPoint or PDF) from the Home
Deployment is currently under way for Standard Release, expecting to be completed by mid-April.
GCC deployment is expected to start early May with completion by late May, while DoD will be scheduled for June.
