Earlier in July 2022, Microsoft has made generally available a new compute series – Azure confidential virtual machine (DCasv5 and ECasv5) (see https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/confidential-computing/overview/).
Today, this Azure confidential virtual machine series is made available in preview for use with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
Support for confidential virtual machine is available for Windows 11 22H2 hosts; support for Windows 10 is scheduled for later.
When deploying a host pool, select the Confidential virtual machines as Security type option for the virtual machines
