When you have a large Azure environment, it is sometime not easy to quickly identified if your resources are properly protected to allow business continuity in case of an issue arise.
Well, good news as it is now becoming easier to have bird eyes on your business continuity capability on Azure: Business Continuity Center (ABC).
Azure Business Continuity Center is a cloud-native unified business continuity and disaster recovery management platform in Azure that helps managing your protection estate across solutions and environments.
It provides a unified experience with consistent views, seamless navigation, and supporting information to provide a holistic view of business continuity estate for better discoverability with the ability to do core activities.
To start using ABC, connect to your Azure portal (https://portal.azure.com) and search for Business Continuity Center
From there you can quickly identified resources which are protected or not and then decide to enable corresponding protection.
You can protect the following resource types:
- virtual machines
- SQL in virtual machines
- SAP HANA
- Azure Files
- disks
- blobs storage
- PostgreSQL
- Kubernetes
When configuring protection, you can choose which solutions to use depending of the resource type (backup, site recovery).
