If you already used InfoPath 2007 to create form using data source hosted on SharePoint (such as SharePoint lists or web services), you may already know that you are obliged to update manually these data sources in case of move between SharePoint sites.
With InfoPath 2010, these updates are still mandatory BUT the form publication wizard detects the change and is asking to automatically update the data sources. In fact, all absolute URL’s are converted to match the destination URL – if you were using SharePoint lists as data source, only the first part is updated as shown in the screenshots below.
To automatically update data sources used within your InfoPath form, you have to check the option Adjust data connections to the new location shown at the last publication step.
