Teams – You can now block individual people from communicating with your organization

Teams is a powerful collaboration tool allowing collaboration and communication within your organization and external one.

Teams administrators can control which external organization can communicate with yours.

Until then there was no way to block specific individual(s) to communicate with your organization.

Well, good news as now Teams administrators can enable a functionality which will allow listing specific peoples to be blocked from communicating.

This can be useful in preventing malicious (or bullying) external user(s).

To enable the feature and start listing those external users, connect to your Teams administration portal (https://admin.teams.microsoft.com/) and access the Users\External access blade to turn on the “Block specific users from communicating with people in my organization” setting

Once turned on, administrators can then add a user in the block list using their email/Teams addess
