When working with Azure Virtual Networks, you know that you may need to create subnets for specific purposes – such as Azure Bastion, Azure Firewall or Virtual Network Gateway.
These specific subnets have very specific details to be configured, such as the subnet name and/or the IP range.
Until now, when creating such subnets you had to find back the specific configuration and manually set this up.
Well, good news as now you can easily create such subnets by using the Subnet purpose option when creating the subnet.
Using this option will automatically set all corresponding specific configuration for the select purpose.
