SCCM – System Center Configuration Manager Current Branch 1906 is now available

The new release (1906) of System Center Configuration Manager Current Branch (SCCM Current Branch) is now available.

As always it will be available for install from your SCCM administration console within the next few days but if you want to force the detection and install you can use the script available here http://download.microsoft.com/download/4/9/3/493BC9DE-ACAC-4D11-8B7E-5AFCECC626C2/EnableEarlyUpdateRing1906.exe

This new release provides integration with Desktop Analytics – the new Windows Analytics solution to help for upgrading Windows client (see https://t.co/VqQV4WRj83).

Also part of this release:

  • Support for Windows Virtual Desktop allows managing virtual desktop running Windows in Azure
  • Synchronize collection membership results to Azure Active Directory groups
  • Application groups allows sending to a user or device collection as a single deployment a group of applications.
  • or Task sequence debugger, a new troubleshooting tool. You deploy a task sequence in debug mode to a collection of one device.
