Microsoft has announced a new/improved Exchange Online Protection feature called Exchange Online Advanced Threat Protection (ATP).
ATP will delivers the following services:
- Improved protection against unknown malware and viruses: this extends the existing Exchange Online Protection service by providing a zero-day protection against virus and malware. All message with attachments with an unknown virus/malware signature are routed to a dedicated environment (like a sandbox). If not suspicious activity is detected, then the message is released and delivered as expected
- Improved protection against malicious links: ATP’s Safe Links feature proactively protects you if you click such a link
- Better reporting and tracing capabilities
Since June 1st, you can request ATP through MOSP. Request through a volume license or a partner will be available starting August 1st.
