I have updated my PowerShell scripts use to install and configure prerequisites for Exchange 2013 on Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows Server 2012/2012 R2.
Both scripts now take into account the new Exchange 2013 Edge role introduced with Service Pack 1.
Script for installing Exchange 2013 on Windows Server 2008 R2 has been also updated to use public link to download additional prerequisites (Windows updates) which were not available publicly initially – there is still one update which requires a request through Microsoft support web site and so the download link uses my OneDrive public share.
To download the updated scripts:
- For Windows Server 2008 R2 removed as Windows Server 2008 R2 is no longer supported
- For Windows Server 2012 and 2012 R2 http://blog.hametbenoit.info/sdm_downloads/install-prerequisites-for-exchange-2013-on-windows-server-2012-2012-r2/
NOTE even if the scripts are working with Exchange 2013 RTM binaries, don’t forget to use the Exchange 2013 Service Pack 1 binaries for the Exchange installation itself http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=41994 for the Edge role or installation on Windows Server 2012 R2
