Microsoft has announced at the WorldWide Partners Conference the availability of Power BI for Office 365.

With this announcement, Office 365 is now able to provide business intelligence services such as:

  • Power Query to search and access data within Excel (formerly called Data Explorer)
  • Power Map to map data on a map (formerly called Geoflow)
  • Power Pivot to create and customize data models with Excel
  • Power View to interact with charts and graphs with Excel

This means also the availability of the SharePoint BI site template on SharePoint Online.
